The Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources - Regional Center Pilot: Common Core English Language Arts Standards Implementation: An Opportunity for Social Studies

We are proposing to develop six LDC modules focusing on history in social studies. We will develop two LDC module exemplars for each grade level (elementary, middle and high school). We will train 20 teachers to use the modules and LOC resources using a series of webinars. The LDC modules will be pilot tested within those classrooms and feedback from the teachers and students will be used to refine the LCD modules prior to publication. The lead developers will create a professional development podcast that will be web accessible and link to the final materials.
