The T-PEN Tool: Developing a Transcription Tool to Support Digital Editing and Access to Digital Repositories In the last decade there has been a proliferation of digital archives that house unpublished manuscripts. The growth in digital archives is set to continue as more institutions move towards digitization as a major form of preservation. This project will test how T-PEN can assist in the creation of a large textbase of transcribed materials and will help to develop the auto encoding function of T-PEN.
