The mission of the CFFT Therapeutics Development Network is to facilitate the clinical study of new and existing therapies to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life of patients with CF. The goals of the TDC network include the following: Protect the safety and rights of individuals with CF involved in clinical research and provide access to CF clinical studies to our patients. Optimize the benefits of clinical research for the CF community through industry partnering and centralizing the process for review and prioritization of CF clinical studies. Utilize archived data and specimens to perform ancillary studies when possible.Optimize current CF research outcome measures by improving existing methodologies and develop novel biomarkers.Practice continuous quality improvement and sharing best practices for CF clinical research. Promote the continued advancement of quality CF research by facilitating the training and mentoring of new clinical research staff. All of these things are done to ultimately promote the most optimal quality of life for our CF patient population
