Thick-Filament Regulation In Human Heart Failure

Grants and Contracts Details

Dr. Campbell will continue his collaboration with Dr. Tanner at Washington State University by: 1) Providing Dr. Tanner’s group with deidentified samples of human myocardium procured from organ donors and patients who have heart failure at the University of Kentucky. 2) Providing Dr. Tanner’s group with deidentified clinical data associated with the above samples. 3) Helping to interpret experimental data describing the contractile properties of the human myocardial samples. 4) Performing mathematical modeling to determine how perturbing sarcomere dynamics impacts organ-level cardiac function and hemodynamics.
