Tie-Back Wall Corrosion Investigation KYSPR 12-450

OBJECTIVES: I) Review the performance/condition of the US 27 tie-back wall in Campbell Co., 2) Review the performance/condition of a similar tie-back wall on KY 22 7 in Carroll County, 3) Assess the extent of the corrosion damage and determ ine the corrosion mechanisms that have damaged the major steel components of the US 27 tie-back wall, 4) Recommend remedial actions for addressing corrosion on the US 27 tie-back wall and prevent similar problems on other KYTC tie-back walls and 5) monitor KYTC remedial actions/repairs on the US 27 tie-back wall.
