Description
The main goal of this project is to identify promoters to produce proteins in insect cell lines (e.g., Sf9, SfMG1-0611, and SfMG1-0617) and insects (e.g., Spodoptera frugiperda). The identified promoters will be tested for production of P450 protein in cell lines and S. frugiperda. The proposed research will be conducted using the fall armyworm, S. frugiperda, as a model pest insect, but the results could be applied to other lepidopteran pests.
