Description

To support Integration of Creative Placemaking into Cooperative Extension programming, a Knowledge Building Project. The arts and placemaking core of the Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (CEDIK) at the University of Kentucky will partner with the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (NACDEP) to expand Kentucky’s Extension arts and placemaking programming practices across the country. CEDIK will develop a Creative Placemaking Extension toolkit supported by research of Extension arts and placemaking impacts in Kentucky, and share knowledge of creative placemaking at instate and national Extension conference workshops, then later through eXtension, a digital training platform for Extension personnel nationwide. This project will enhance Cooperative Extension's capacity to support community investments that strengthen livability through creative placemaking.
