Grants and Contracts Details

Description

One of the most important tasks for the Network is to recruit into the tobacco and health disparities research field: I) senior-level scientist who were not previously focused on or committed to research on this topic, 2) a "new" generation of scientists/scholars who will choose to make this topic a major career focus, and 3) to develop mechanisms and processes to effectively mentor and facilitate the careers of these scientists. The ultimate goals, of course, are to: I) significantly expand and improve the scientific knowledge base of the field of tobacco and health disparities research from a transdisciplinary perspective, and 2) accelerate the translation of such knowledge into practices and policies that will reduce the disparities.
