Grants and Contracts per year
Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center will use the allotted $3,500,000 in fiscal year 2018-2019 and $3,343,250 in fiscal year 2019-2020 to support our National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designation and our plans to achieve the prestigious comprehensive cancer center designation during our next renewal period. Only one percent of NCI Designated cancer centers are "comprehensive." This elevated level of designation will mean that the Markey Cancer Center has an exceptionally strong breadth and depth of research, education, and outreach programs that are having a transformational impact on the lives of Kentuckians.
