Description
The Resource Parent Training program works closely with Cabinet for Health and Family Services staff, other public universities in Kentucky, community partners from across the state, as well as foster and adoptive families in identifying their training and educational needs. Our educational and training services include: Curricula development; a bi-annual training magazine for foster and adoptive parents and DCBS staff; speakers’ bureau; and conference/event planning and coordination. As the needs of foster and adoptive families change, so does our focus. We are guided by the voices of Kentucky’s foster and adoptive families as well as Cabinet staff and community leaders.
Goal: The goal of the Resource Parent Training Program is to provide training and support to resource families across the state in an effort to promote the safety, permanency and well-being of Kentucky’s children.
