Description
The Traumatic Brain Injury Trust is to establish a confidential registry for traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and provide reports of findings. The Kentucky Injury Prevention Research Center shall establish and maintain a confidential registry of traumatic and acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. The reports are generated from data derived from hospitals and emergency departments. The analysis of data regarding incidence of traumatic and acquired brain and spinal injury is critical to the planning efforts of the Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board of Directors and the Cabinet of Health and Family Services, as these entities work to develop and refine services for children and adults. These reports are also highly significant for the planning and development of prevention efforts in the Commonwealth.
