Description
University of Kentucky will act as a participating site in the Retrospective Review of PDA Closure with
Medtronic Microvascular Plug in Patients Weighing Less Than Two Kilograms. CCHMC expects partner
sites to fulfill the following areas of work:
1. The site will ensure that all necessary regulatory and local IRB approvals are in place.
2. The site will ensure that a DUA is in place if required before data collection begins
3. The site will work to collect patient data by:
a. Screening for eligible patients who have had a PDA closure with MVP during 1/01/2012
and 10/30/2020 using medical records.
b. Collect data on patient Demographics, Pre-Echo, Pre Respiratory Status, Catherization
details, Post Procedure Echo, Echo at 6 Months, and Late Complications.
c. Enter the patient data into the REDCap database created and managed by CCHMC.
