Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Collabrative development of a drawing to animation platform called framed for a global live drawing event Called Drawing Across Borders.
Layman's description
Using nodes a group of international collabrators connected framed software into a global network which allowed for simultanious collabrative drawings to be displayed simultaneously in Lexington, Durban, South Africa, Krakow, Poland, and Antwerp Belgium.
Key findings
While we found that mesh networks didn't allow for the data to transfer smoothly we were able to use js nodes. We are now working to develop a Progressive Web App version that will exist as a URL and allow for any one in the world to access the platform.
