The University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children (UK CTAC) will work with the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities to strengthen their policies and practices to respond to staff trauma. Specifically, the University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children will provide evaluation, technical assistance and consulting services to agencies providing services through the System of Care Five (SOC V) grant in four key areas: Establishing the Collaborative Change Framework and Scope of the Project; Team Preparation and Pre and Post Assessment and Consultation; Three Face to Face Learning Sessions; and Coaching and Consultation During Action Periods. The eight teams will be comprised of the following: one team from each of four Community Mental Health Centers (River Valley, LifeSkills, Cumberland River, Adanta), and two teams each from the two DCBS Service Regions (Cumberland and Two Rivers). 1. In collaboration with DBHDID staff, establish the collaborative change framework and scope. 2. Administration of the Secondary Traumatic Stress Organizational Assessment (STS-OA) up to 20 jurisdictions within SOC V Cohorts One and Two, and consultation/assistance with communication strategies to increase response rate. 4. Preparation of dashboards tailored to each site that represents baseline BSC data. These dashboards would be customized based on jurisdiction and DBHDID requests. 5. Host planning calls with the DBHDID and/or STS-BSC teams to discuss findings, plan for collaborative sessions, problem solve issues that arise, or to provide technical assistance. 6. Conduct daylong learning sessions in a central location to drive and facilitate change, create and pursue data-driven goals and plan for sustainability. 7. Consultation and consulting calls throughout the first two action periods for each of the two groups (pre-work prior to Learning Session 1, action work between Learning Session 1 and Learning Session 2).
