Description

Utilizing grant funds ($60,000) from the Kentucky Division of Forestry we will partner with that organization on the following activities: " Conduct woodland owner programs including at least two woodland owner field days that provide educational programs for new forest landowners as well as experienced landowners. " Pilot test a "Kentucky woodland steward school" to train woodland owner volunteers to assist in forest stewardship efforts. This pilot project will permit the testing of developing, training, and working with landowner volunteers in Kentucky. " Continue outreach efforts in the production of the following: " one issue of Kentucky Woodlands Magazine " an electronic newsletter " topic-specific factsheets " project related webinars " targeted mailing highlighting the deliverables associated with this grant to forest owners. " Develop and provide continuing education training to Kentucky Division of Forestry personnel on the use of project deliverables and working with the woodland steward volunteers
