UK Diabetes and Schools

The University of Kentucky Research Foundation (UKRF) shall: 1. Convene and facilitate an in-person stakeholders meeting. 2. Develop a written plan including indentified issues related to children/adolescents with diabetes in schools. 3. Develop written action steps to address the issues. 4. Develop appropriate curricula for school nurse training. 5. Develop appropriate curricula for school nurses to support training of non-licensed personnel in schools. 6. Facilitate bi-monthly meetings of the stakeholders task force to address plan implementation, progress and action steps which may be facilitated via conference call through Zoom. Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings..
