Description

The overall purpose of the KEDS (UK Early Childhood KY Data System) is to support the collection, reliability, and analysis of assessment data from approved Curriculum-Based Assessments (CBAs) to provide reports to KDE on the progress of students across the state and from each district in meeting: Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standards, the three Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) child outcomes, and the two OSEP target summary statements. This proposal includes all current year deliverables, as well as recommended preparation for increased student numbers and procedures for planned entrance age changes for SFY15 and monitoring of districts who select alternate day programming, and concludes with a final paragraph of recommended upgrades to the KEDS platform based on user feedback and improved efficiency, which are contingent on increased funding in addition to the costs included in this proposal. 1. Provide technical assistance to preschool districts for the collection of assessment data; 3. Support KDE’s KCEWS Collaborative; 4.
