The overall purpose of UK Early Childhood KY Data System (KEDS) is to support the collection, reliability, and analysis of assessment data from approved Curriculum-Based Assessments (CBAs) to provide varied reports to KDE. These reports include the progress of students on three Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) child outcomes, two OSEP target summary statements, and on Kentucky¡¦s Early Childhood Standards (EC Standards). The proposed budget includes deliverables that can be provided with flat funding levels. Current deliverables that are limited by flat funding levels are indicated in italics. These deliverables will be provided from July 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017. 1. Support the collection, reliability, and analysis of assessment data from all state-funded preschool districts for approved CBAs; 2. Provide technical assistance to preschool districts for the collection of student demographic and assessment data; 3. Provide reports to KDE for: -- OSEP outcome and target data for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) by district and by state; -- KY EC Standards reporting by district and by state; -- KCEWS progress for students with IEPs at exit from preschool; and -- An annual report summarizing major activities and aggregate results of data analyses. 4. Provide statistical data validation and reliability procedures; 5. Plan platform revisions based on newly released revised assessments; and 6. Monitor outcome results for districts that follow alternate day scheduling.
