The Contractor shall Outfit adult and yearling cow elk with vaginal implant transmitters and Global Positioning System (GPS) collars to determine natality in eastern Kentucky. Elk calves born from GPS-equipped cow elk will be fitted with radio-collars to estimate calf survival. Field research and data analysis will be conducted by two M.S. students at the University of Kentucky.
