UK / Kentucky Deaf-Blind Supplement

Project activities to address this indicator include: a) collaborating with our state’s PTI project in order to deliver training to Family Resource Centers statewide on the topic of working effectively with families of children who have disabilities; b) our family specialist maintaining ongoing contact with families of students on Kentucky’s Deaf-Blind Census in order to assist them in understanding recommended education practices and resources available in the special education community both statewide and nationally and 3) our family specialist working as a liaison between families, school personnel and project staff to assist in the identification and problem solving of needs and resources.
