Description
The National Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS)
Conference will be held April 4 through April 7, 2018 in Greensboro, North Carolina. MANRRS is a
non-profit professional leadership development organization that welcomes membership of people of
all racial and ethnic groups to participate in agriculture and related fields. Forty (40)
University of Kentucky students plan to attend the National MANRRS Conference, which promotes
professional development in agriculture and related fields. KRS 246.247, authorizes the
Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture to promote and encourage agricultural
organizations and associations, and to expend funds to encourage the agricultural industry of the
state. The Commissioner of Agriculture has determined that it is in the best
interest of the promotion of Kentucky agriculture to make this grant.
