Description

Winegrape production and winemaking play a significant economic role in Kentucky’s local foods market. The University of Kentucky developed and implements programs assisting new and existing grape growers and winemakers across Kentucky by addressing industry challenges to continue development and success by supporting 1) extension activities educating/assisting industry members in all facets of winegrape and wine production, 2) applied research to identify optimum vineyard and winemaking practices and profitable varieties for grape and wine production.
