Army University of Kentucky Master of Social Work (MSW) Solicitation W81K04-21Q-0006 The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Social Work seeks to renew the contract with the Healthcare Readiness Contracting Office (Provisional), Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston, Texas to be the university affiliation for a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and associated services. As such, UK will grant university graduate credit and an MSW degree to students who successfully complete the Army Medical Department Center and School’s (AMEDDC&S) MSW Program. The ARMY UK MSW Program spans 14 months and consists of two phases: a foundation and an advanced generalist phase. Both the foundation phase and the advanced phase consist of 30 credit hours each. The MSW Program includes a minimum of 900 hours of field practicum instruction. Accreditation is required: UK is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and recognized by the Council on Post-Secondary Accreditation and will maintain this accreditation throughout the life of the contract. In addition, UK’s MSW program shall maintain accreditation under current Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) standards; the last accreditation was in 2019 with the next affirmation cycle beginning in 2026. The anticipated renewal contract will have a 5-year period from November, 2021 through October, 2026. The initial cohort of this renewal contract will have a class start date on or about 1 February 2022.
