    Description

    The Cabinet is charged with the implementation of the Kentucky Nonpoint Source Management Program as required by Section 319 of the federal Clean Water Act Amendments of 1987. COntrol of nonpoint source pollution from agricultural operations through agricultural education and technical assistance is an important component of the Kentucky Nonpoint Source Management Program. The Division of Conservation is the implementing agency for the agricultural and silvicultural components of Kentucky's Nonpoint Source Management Program. The mission of the Univeristy of Kentucky Research Foundation Cooperative Extension Service includes integrating the Agriculture Water Quality Act (AWQA) and the Nonpoint Source Pollution information into all aspects of agriculture education and technical assistance.
