Description

The purpose of the Kentucky Grains Center of Excellence will be to enhance Kentucky’s sustainable grain crops agriculture so that Kentucky farmers may help feed the world, protect the environment, expand the Kentucky economy, and pass their farms to the next generation. The shared vision for the Center is that it should be: 1. A core group of people who tackle important issues in row crop agriculture. 2. A recognized center in the region for applied research and extension workshops, field days, demonstrations and classes. 3. A group of people connected with local producers, industries and citizens on row crop agriculture. 4. State of the art facilities that allow these goals to be achieved.
