Description

This project intends to employ one University of Kentucky historic preservation graduate student for the summer of2005 at the Kentucky Heritage Council (KHC). Employment will begin 6 June 2005 and will conclude on 26 August 2005. The designated intern to work on this project is Janet Kurland. The intern will assist KHC staff with two concurrent projects. The first involves writing test and assisting with design of the revised KHC website. This project will entail working with KHC staff to update existing program descriptions on the web, developing text for new pages, gathering and organizing photos and graphics, and being trained by contract staff at Kentukcy.gov in using Word-based website creation software. The second project is assisting with development of the new Kentucky Historic Resources Inventory Form and Survey Manual. Tasks for this project will include: Scanning images, writing sections of the manual, and assisting with layout and design of the new survey forms.
