Description

1. Network with individuals and groups statewide listed in the NHSC accepted professions and with related university health professional degree programs accepted by the NHSC: a. Primary care physician b. Dentist c. Primary care certified nurse practitioner d. Certified nurse-midwife e. primary physicain assistant f. registered dental hygienist g. health service psychologist h. licensed clinical social worker i. Psychiatric nurse specialist j. Marriage and family therapist k. Licensed professional counselor 2. Provide, including but not limited to, presentations, meetings and resource materials pre-approved by the Department for Public Health (DPH) Health Care Access Branch (HCAB). 3. Participate as a vendor or presenter on NHSC at available state conferences/meetings. Attendance shall be pre-approved by HCAB. 4. Provide initial technical assistance statewide for local NHSC facaility site applicants. The awardee is the primary contact for current and future facilities who want to become NHSC sites. The awardee would be the direct contact for these facilites for questions pertaining to the application process and serve as the go between for the facility and HCAB or HRSA. 5. Provide initial technical assistance statewide for clinicians applying for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program and students applying for the NHSC Scholarship Program. The NHSC Loan Repayment Program and the Scholarship Program are not housed with CHFS. This is a national program housed and funded by HRSA. HRSA is responsible for the awarding and distributing of scholarship and/or loan repayment awards. 6. Promote the use and understanding of NHSC to public at large.
