Description
In a collaborative effort with the EKU University Training Consortium, the UK College of Social Work’s Training Resource Center provides services to support CHFS/DCBS through its Training, Event, and Lodging Logistics (TELL) sub-award. Through TELL, UK TRC personnel coordinate meeting space and lodging for Cabinet-related events held in Lexington, such as trainings for Family Support and Protection and Permanency staff. Prior to FY 2021, these services were provided through the Office of Child Welfare Evaluation, Support, and Technology (OC-WEST) sub-award.
Objective I: Coordinate lodging and meeting space for CHFS/DCBS events
UK TRC personnel negotiate and execute rate agreements and contracts with hotels in Lexington to provide lodging accommodations for CHFS/DCBS personnel. This includes individual accommodations as requested by the DCBS Training Branch, as well all as blocks of lodging for groups providing and/or participating in CHFS/DCBS trainings, meetings, or other events. Meeting space is also arranged as needed for CHFS/DCBS trainings, meetings, and other events in Lexington.
Objective II: Provide meeting room set-up and on-site registration for CHFS/DCBS events
UK TRC personnel assist Regional Training Coordinators and Trainers with meeting/training room set-up and on-site registration at CHFS/DCBS events in Lexington. A/V equipment (i.e. screen, projector, speakers, laptop) maintained by the UK TRC is provided upon request if available and suitable to meet the needs of the event.
Objective III: Arrange meals for CHFS/DCBS events
