Description

The objectives of the project are to: I) Test the application of using GPR for rapid inspection of bridge decks to detect areas of deterioration for future rehabilitation. 1) Test different antennas 10 detennine best frequency for bridge deck inspection. 3) Develop standard testing practices for bridge deck inspection using GPR. 4) Develop standard specifications outlining the anticipated tolerances and acceptance levels produced b, GPR results. 5.) Compare GPR's ability to detennine concrete coyer over steel reinforcement for acceptance testing of new concrete overlays to that of the pachometer.
