Grants and Contracts Details

Description

This study proposes to assess anesthesiology residents' transition of care process during a rapid response scenario utilizing the human patient simulator. An assessment tool will be developed and validated by a team of expert faculty. After IRB approval, residents will be invited to participate in a video-recorded simulation of a transfer of care using human patient simulation. Trained video-raters will assess the completeness, accuracy, and efficiency of the residents' transfer of care. Once the data is analyzed and results written, we will submit the findings for publication in a variety of journals in order to distribute the information widely.
