USFS NASP 17 Module 4 in 2024 - University of Kentucky Subaward

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Over the past several years the University of Kentucky (UK) Department of Forestry and Natural Resources (PI, John Lhotka) has been collaborating with Virginia Tech (VT) through a subaward to UK that has been part of Virginia Tech’s funded proposals (PI, John Munsell) to deliver the National Advanced Silviculture Program (NASP), a national employee training and education program for the USDA Forest Service. This NASP program partnership has already been funding three times (2021, 2022, and 2023). These subawards from VT to UK were approved as eIAF projects # 004000014441 (2023), 004000014238 (2022), and 004000008079 (2021). The eIAF being submitted now is to complete the same program in 2024, USFS NASP 17 Module 4 in 2024. Please note that the USDA Forest Service policy associated with this NASP program prohibits the collection of Facilities and Administration costs by UK and VT; correspondence from the National Program Leader of the NASP program (David Gwaze) on this indirect cost policy has been uploaded in the eIAF system.
