Description
Validating In-Season Potassium Management Opportunities in United States Soybean: LEE and SHAMIM: Page 12
MAJOR GOALS
The overall objective of this research project is to validate in-season potassium (K)
management opportunities for nationwide soybean production. More specifically, objectives
include:
1. To validate the dynamic critical concentration curve as thresholds for leaf and petiole K
sufficiency in United States soybean across multiple environments and management
factors.
2. To confirm the ability to correct K deficiencies in soybean with in-season applications of
granular fertilizer-K.
3. To extend the results to soybean growers through extension networks across the United
States.
