Description
The Inaugural White Coat Ceremony for the University of Kentucky College of Medicine-Bowling Green Campus will take place on Friday, August 3 at 4:00 p.m. (CDT) at Van Meter Hall on the campus of Western Kentucky University, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. To address the shortage of physicians, particularly primary care doctors serving in community settings, UK College of Medicine established a four-year regional campus in Bowling Green in partnership with Western Kentucky University and The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Robert S. DiPaula, MD, Dean of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine will be the keynote speaker. Mark F. Newman, MD, Vice President of Health Affairs at UK Healthcare will bring greetings on behalf of the University of Kentucky. Greetings will also be brought by the UK College of Medicine Alumni Association, Western Kentucky University and Med Center Health. Musical selections will be performed by the Julianna Waller String Trio out of Nashville, Tennessee. The students will take the "Pledge of Professionalism" led by Dr. Chipper Griffith, Vice Dean of Education, Todd Cheever, MD,
Associate Dean for the Bowling Green Campus and an Arnold Goldman award-winning faculty member alongside Don Brown, DO, Assistant Dean for the Bowling Green Campus.
