Description
Robert M. Mentzer, Jr., MD, in his capacity as the principal investigator, will
provide oversight for the collaboration of study activities conducted at the
America College of Surgeons, the University of Texas, the Hines VA and the
participating private sector and Veteran Administration hospitals. He will also
serve as a member of the Project Executive Committee, providing scientific
leadership and guidance to the project.
A Program Administrator (50% effort) will assist the principal investigator in the
administration and co-ordination of the study. The Program Administrator will:
. establish and maintain regular contact with a Site Champion and Site
Coordinator at each of the three private sector institutions and the
approximately ninety VA hospitals that will participate in the study,
. prepare, reproduce and distribute correspondence and a study operations
manual,
. provide the Executive Committee of NSQIP with progress reports on the
study and
. coordinate and document ongoing conference calls for the project.
