Workforce-Aligned Educational and Employment Programs and Pathways

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract We will examine whether workforce-aligned financial incentives, such as the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship (WRKS), lead to meaningful and successful postsecondary participation and gainful employment, and also affect geographic mobility. As part of the analysis, we will examine the geographic, demographic, and socioeconomic profiles of students more likely to take advantage of these programs and be positively affected. Ultimately, we will present this information to policymakers and state agencies to improve and develop policies to create opportunities for meaningful post-secondary and career opportunities.
