Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The objective of this proposal is to develop a risk management tool to help
soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merrill) producers decide how to better manage Asian
soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi H. Sydow & Sydow). This project sbal1lead to the
development of a tool to predict potential yield loss ftom soybean 1118t(SBR) in southern
soybean varieties. This tool will provide fanners with an easy means to determine the
potential yield loss at any given reproductive growth stage. A simple yield loss predictor
would allow producers to determine if and when controJ measures are necessaty.
