Description

The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and the School Health Education Profile (SHEP) survey are surveillance tools used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor various health behaviors among American teens. The University of Kentucky Center for Prevention will oversee the coUel;tion of data for these surveys by training school nurses to administer the surveys. Once data has been coUected, the Center will analyze the data, develope graphics with written text, prepare and deliver copies of the fmal reports along witb Iransparendes of color graphs to sponsors for use in presentations. The Center will also provide a multimedia presentation that can be used by the Departrnent in various forums and will be available to assist in these public forums.
