Abstract
For 30 years I have used a sketchbook as a powerful tool for teaching the visual arts—a tool for visual thinking and lesson planning. After graduation from art school, using sketchbooks as a teaching tool seemed like a natural thing to do. I conceived and sketched my lessons visually and kept them in sketchbooks, which I still have and cherish. I browse through these sketchbooks to reconnect with these earlier ideas.
