Abstract
In this brief response to Richard A. Danner's "Skating with Donovan: Thoughts on Librarianship as a Profession," the author finds new reasons to doubt the merits of a "weak" model of librarianship that overemphasizes user demands at the expense of professional ethical commitments to collect, organize, and preserve.
