Abstract

Injection of cysts of avirulent strains of T. gondii intraperitoneally into mice that were pretreated with monoclonal antibody against interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) provided more than 107 trophozoites of those strains. This method is suitable for obtaining large numbers of trophozoites of T. gondii strains that are avirulent for mice.
