A micromethod for the measurement of acetyl phosphate and acetyl coenzyme A

Abstract

A method for the determination of acetyl phosphate in cell-free extracts is described. The sensitivity of this method is 20 pmol/ml of extract. An adaptation that permits the measurement of picomole quantities of acetyl CoA is also presented.
