Abstract

Marr et als' (1969) experimental photoabsorption cross section in the Cd 4d⁹5s²5p autoionising resonance region has been re-analysed using overlapping resonance theory. A revised set of level positions, oscillator strengths and widths for the three levels is obtained, free of the effects of resonance overlap. The set is compared with available calculations.
