Abstract

To facilitate functional genomics in the soybean pathogen Phomopsis longicolla, we developed a robust Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation system that yielded 150-250 transformants per 1×106 conidia of P. longicolla. This first report of P. longicolla transformation provides a useful tool for insertional mutagenesis in an increasingly important pathogen of soybean.
