Abstract

Children require painful procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic needs. Pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic measures are needed to manage pain in order to prevent long-term consequences of repeated uncontrolled pain. This chapter discusses the various agents necessary for optimal pain management.
