Abstract

A linear array antenna comprised of tilted edge slots cut in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide is analyzed. The analysis method is a hybrid FEM/BIE method that uses spectral domain integral equations to determine the boundary elements in the FEM analysis. The mutual coupling effects in a large array are approximated with an infinite array assumption. Calculations are compared to measurements as well as results from Ansoft's HFSS simulator.
