Abstract

Overuse syndromes are common injuries in athletes. Stress fractures of the anterior tibial cortex have an atypical clinical course and may not respond well to nonoperative treatment. Dynamic intramedullary nailing is a treatment choice for professional and collegiate athletes, who have defined limited playing time and eligibility constraints.
