Abstract
The creation of black holes by ultrahigh energy cosmic rays in scenarios with extra dimensions and TeV-scale gravity was discussed. The cosmic neutrinos initiated quasihorizontal showers far above the standard model and would produce black holes deep in the atmosphere. The possible relevance of black hole production in the GZK paradox was also discussed.
