N2 - If operable, patients with MESCC should undergo maximal tumor resection and stabilization, followed by postoperative radiotherapy. Even for radiosensitive tumors, surgery can often stabilize the spine. For patients with inoperable tumors, definitive radiotherapy still remains the standard of care. Although most patients with MESCC have short survival, only through prompt multidisciplinary teamwork can the risks of paraplegia be minimized.
