Abstract

An engineering educational experience consists of a theoretical inquiry of a topic or an experiment which illustrates a concept, but seldom the combination. The difficulty of orchestrating this combination is arguably more pronounced in electromagnetics owing to its intrinsic abstract character and is exacerbated by the typical waning budget. In the paper, the authors proceed under the assumption that frequently such a combination makes the most pedagogic sense and describe one example where such a combination is being achieved with a modest financial investment.
