Abstract
In the original publication of the article, the Fig. 1 caption was incorrectly published. Figure 1 with correct caption is given below. (Figure presented.) Densities of x¯(j),j=1,2 conditional on the decision to stop or continue. Densities shown with solid lines result from an experiment that stops (informatively) if x1≥0, x¯j∼N(0,1). Densities shown by dashed lines result from an experiment that stops (non-informatively). In particular, the experiment will stop at stage 1 (1) if x1≥0, where x1∼N(0,1); and (2) if x1∗≥0 where x1∗∼N(0,1) is independent of x1(a) Informed stopping. The solid line is the density of x(1)|x1∗≥0. Non-informed stopping: the dashed line is the density of x(1)|x1∗≥0. (b) Informed continuation. The solid line is the density of x¯(2)|x∗<0. Non-informed continuation: the dashed line is the density of {x¯(2)|x∗<0} The original version of the article is corrected.
